MistEcology
Mist Ecology's patented precoolers evaporate a small amount of water, ranging from one to two gallons per hour per ton of cooling, into the condenser airflow. This reduces the airflow temperature by 15 to 20 F and greatly enhances the AC unit's ability to release heat from indoors and results in additional cooling capacity and reduced electrical consumption. The precoolers also have replaceable filters to capture any unevaporated mist and prevent mineral deposits from accumulating on the condenser coils. Drier climates in the southwest can expect efficiency improvements of 25 to 45% yielding return on investment of 30 to 50% without any utility company incentives or tax credits.
